The founder & chairman of our company, Mr. Hasan Maher Hamouie, the third son to his parents, was born in Aleppo on 31.12.1927. Afterwards, he moved with his family to Beirut where he spent his youth there. He studied in the School of Arts & Science of the American University of Beirut (AUB) which granted him the Bachelor degree in Business Administration on 21.06.1947.

After he had finished his studies, he moved to Aleppo/Syria (the family hometown) where he married his second cousin & had sole son and two daughters. There, he started working in Trade in a shop at Al-Khandak Street, where he was a beginner in importing Radios & televisions components, electrical & electronic parts, etc. to the Syrian markets under the name of “Hamouie Establishment”. Then, he extended his business with the help of his son Mr. Yaman and started to work in new various fields of Petrochemicals, Fibers, Chemicals & Machines, etc.

Mr. H.M. Hamouie, the tutor & souled father of all the team in his Company, HATCO, had responded to GOD’s call and passed away leaving his family, friends, & Hatco on 16.06.2005. Hope almighty may rest his departed soul in peace in heaven.

His aims & mottos that he had taught & planted in us & which we had inherited after him are to work hard, to be devoted to our business, to be educated to promote ourselves, & to help people to the best of our abilities.

We, His family & Hatco’s team, vow him to continue following his steps & principles, as he will always remain our emblem, to achieve more progress wishing to be able to shoulder this responsibility.
